Why Destiny 2's Season of the Lost Not Including Eris Morn is Disappointing

Destiny 2's Season of the Lost features significant characters like Mara Sov and Savathun, however Eris Morn not being included is a missed chance.

Destiny 2 has drastically changed since its initial days as Bungie put a ton of work into the game's faults to address them, while also taking what made its predecessor extraordinary and developing it. This wasn't a fast process; it started with Forsaken right back in September 2018, and afterward changed thanks to all the adjusting and Destiny's ebb and flow seasonal model. Seasons are a way for Bungie to make small expansions at regular intervals or somewhere in the vicinity, and it is useful for the game because it scatters content over time rather than betting everything immediately. This also provides an extraordinary instrument in terms of story.

Seasons always include a fresh out of the box new story that has ties to previous releases and advances the plot of Destiny 2's universe. Season of the Lost saw the arrival of Mara Sov and the unmasking of Osiris, who ended up being Savathun since the events of Season of the Chase, and players could return to the Dreaming City to attach some ends with the Witch Sovereign. While this Season's story is advised well thanks to the relationship between Mara, Savathun, and Crow, Bungie missed a major chance to highlight Eris Morn.

Eris Morn Not Joining Season of the Lost is Bizarre

Having Eris Morn in Season of the Lost would have seemed well and good because the Lightless Tracker is the person with the deepest information about the Hive. She was among the six Guardians who needed to get vengeance on Crota for what was known as the Incomparable Disaster when humankind attempted to take the Moon back from the Hive. Eris was the main survivor of the Fireteam, and she lived for quite a long time in the tunnels of the Moon; Lightless, with Hive eyes and enchantment, just to fabricate a spaceship from scraps to escape.

From that point forward, Eris has been a significant person in all of Destiny 2's Hive-related substance. She went about as an aide against both Crota and Oryx in the first installment of the series, and was carried back with the Shadowkeep expansion. She was also a minor person in Past Light, where she turned into a supporter for using the Darkness against those who use it as a device of destruction, such as Savathun and the Hive. She has a personal resentment with the Witch Sovereign, featured in one of the legend pages for Past Light called "To the Witch Sovereign," wherein Eris states it will be her to take Savathun's life and heritage.

Because of this, in a Season where Savathun is a significant person, it is disappointing that Eris Morn doesn't assume a part in the story. The Gatekeeper and Mara Sov went as far as striking an arrangement with Savathun to exorcize her Worm so she can be liberated from its endless craving, and Eris Morn would almost certainly have a ton to say about this. This is also the last Season before The Witch Sovereign expansion is released, and having Bungie develop Eris' person before that second would have seemed well and good.

Still, some players accept that Eris is not piece of Season 15 because of her dedication to Mara Sov, which means she could have faith in her sovereign enough not to have a problem with her choices. However, even in that case, this is something players can just speculate about because there is no notice of it anyplace in the game. In the mean time, Eris Morn remains in the shadows for the present, standing by to assume a greater part.

Destiny 2 is accessible now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
